How many addresses you need
The count starts from what happens at the same time, not from the day total.
There is no rule of one address per so many pages. A five-second lookup and a thirty-minute browser session occupy the address for very different lengths of time.
The count
Start from the peak: how many connections are open at once in the busiest minute. Divide by what one address can carry before the response gets worse, measured in a small test, and add some spare for the ones that fail. That is a starting point, not a target.
Packages start at 5 dedicated and 10 shared. Buy the smallest that passes the test and grow when the measured number asks for it. An idle address is idle money.
Split by market. Spare addresses in Europe do not cover a test that has to come out of the United States.
